Free improvisation between acoustic and electronic elements

Almost Songs is an improvisation that repeatedly makes space for fleeting harmonic and rhythmic structures. For a moment, a form reminiscent of a song seems to flash into view, only to dissolve again the very next instant.

The path leads voice and guitar from immediate, acoustic, and intelligible sounds toward their electronic extensions, shifts, and abstractions. The voice moves along a continuum ranging from sound, breath, and texture to language and melodys, serving at times as an emotional focal point, and at others as an equal element within the sonic landscape.

Almost Songs emerge between silence and noise, form and chance: vulnerable, surprising, intense.
